Dad Accidentally Films His Kids at Home — What He Caught Next Melted His Heart

Luke Morman tells PEOPLE he found the moment “really sweet and funny.”

A dad got an unexpected “lovely surprise” when he watched footage he had unknowingly recorded of his children.

Luke Morman, 33, a dad of three from the United Kingdom, originally started his TikTok account to share old travel clips featuring his wife, Rachel, and their 2-year-old daughter, Mila. Along the way, he realized that “everyday parenting moments resonated far more than I expected.” When the couple welcomed their twin boys, Raffie and Wilder, Morman began intentionally capturing and documenting small, intimate moments at home.

“It became less about travel and more about documenting real family life — the small, unpolished moments that parents don’t always see reflected online,” he tells PEOPLE.

One day, during what Morman describes as a “very normal moment at home,” he unexpectedly captured a sweet interaction between his daughter and her little brother. Morman was holding one of the twins while preparing their milk in the kitchen, with the other son safely in his bouncer. Meanwhile, Mila kept running back and forth between the kitchen and living room.

“I kept gently calling her back because I know she can be quite ‘enthusiastic,’ shall we say, and I wanted to make sure everyone stayed safe,” he recalls. “It was all happening very naturally while I was multitasking.”

A few days later, while reviewing his footage, Morman came across the clip and saw a “really sweet and funny” surprise. In the now-viral TikTok video, Mila can be seen bringing a new toy to her baby brother each time she enters the frame.

When she finds a toy that seems to please him, she leaves triumphantly — only to return and plant a quick kiss on him. She then climbs on top of her brother in the bouncer, gently moving him up and down, before trying to show Morman how she cuddled him — something he quickly stopped.

“Solo parenting 3 kids 2 and under, you need eyes in the back of your head!!!” he captioned the clip. “These boys are going to grow up tough thanks to their big sister .”

Reflecting on the moment, Morman says he found it “really sweet and funny.”

“She’s still so little herself, so seeing her instinctively try to help her brother was a lovely surprise,” he adds.

Morman tells PEOPLE that his daughter’s behavior didn’t surprise him at all.

“She’s naturally curious and caring,” he says. “She likes being involved whenever she can.”

He adds that he and his wife have always made an effort to include Mila as much as possible since the twins arrived.

“We have always tried to include her as much as possible with the twins since it’s been a big adjustment for her,” he says. “We don’t expect or ask her to help, but she often wants to be close and included. Moments like this are very organic for her.”
